Benty Farm Tearooms

A baby friendly cafe with a picnic area and gorgeous homemade cakes
Last week we visited Benty Farm Tearooms for a teddy bears picnic with ‘Story Explorers’. The tearooms were a 400m walk down a country track and story explorers had placed teddy bears all the way along from the road to the tearooms. Emlyn is still a bit young but we followed lots of excited children counting or just happy to have spotted another teddy.
The sun was shining and we all sat on picnic blankets outside with our teddy bears and had a lovely story, lots of dancing, some bubble time (Emlyns favourite) and the older children went on a treasure hunt followed by our picnic.
We actually went inside for our picnic because it was so hot, Emlyn enjoyed his cheese sandwich, a cup of juice and a homemade cupcake whilst me and my mum friend enjoyed a hot cuppa and a homemade cake. The tearooms have 2 seating areas - pram friendly and the staff were so lovely and accommodating.
A lovely day out and all for £10!!!! They have their last teddy bears picnic of the year this Friday, 10am and 2pm. If I didn’t already have plans i’d probably go again!
The tearooms all so have a "small plates” evening twice a week, serve a delicious looking afternoon tea and have sown their seeds for pumpkin picking in October.
Let me know if you have been here before and which cake i should try next time :)
