I remember my mum and dad telling me about this place, they used to bring us here when we were younger on our holidays. I've got to admit, when we turned up this morning, the place looks quite small from the car park and I thought we were going to be a bit disappointed but wow! its brilliant!!!!
The main attraction is obviously the butterfly house (Pili Pala is Welsh for butterfly) but there's lots more to see and look at making it a great attraction for kids of all ages.
If you have been to the butterfly house in Chester Zoo, it's like that, but BETTER! There's more butterflies, they are BIGGER! and they also don't seen that bothered about humans, they land on you and aren't phased by you getting close.
Emlyn loved it! So did I to begin with then I "for a laugh" told Rob there was one in his hood which backfired and freaked me out! I kept thinking there was one on me so we moved on 🤣.
You can meet different types of parrots and free flying birds in the bird house:
The resident meerkats John, Paul and George (Emlyns favourites - luckily they weren't phased by him squealing with excitement):
My favourites - the alpacas:
Lots more to see around the farm including crazy goats, guinea pigs, creepy insects including a snake a member of staff had out for visitors to hold and a massive park which I'm sure Emlyn will enjoy when he's older but for now, was pretty happy on the swing.
Let me know which animal your kids like the most.
I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday!
