You might remember my post last week whinging about Rob wanting to do a 3 hour round trip in the car to an RAF museum, but my self induced headache paired with emlyns teething meant we did a U-turn 20 minutes down the road.
Well, robs persistence paid off and today we are here!! Currently scoffing a massive scone and washing it down with a proper builders brew! (Just what a tired mum needs right?)
I was a bit nervous about how today would turn out, would emlyn miss his nap and turn into Mr Grouch? Would he get bored in his pram after the hour and a half car journey here? Albeit a bit later than usual, he finally fell asleep in the car after the 4th episode of Hey Duggee and he is genuinely amazed by the planes!
What a great place! (Yes Rob you were right) so much to look at and the interactive zone is amazing!! keeping both small and big kids (including me) entertained. There are sight and reaction tests to see if you have what it takes to be a pilot, a flight simulator, have a go at being the pilot releasing parcels to land on a target and loads more.
With it being mostly indoors its the perfect place to visit during miserable weather and with 3 HUGE hangers to explore, a cafe, a few short films to watch and the interactive area you can easily spend half a day here. All for free!
A date for your diary: Sunday 9th June is the Cosford Air Show, the only official RAF air show with a 6 hour flying display and over 100 aircraft.
Are you kids into planes? And have you visited here before?
